Erica joined USRT staff in October 2019 after ten years serving the Burns Paiute Tribe in various roles, most recently as Natural Resources Director. In this capacity, Erica managed department operations and led various projects aimed at increasing tribal sovereignty through co-management of fishery and wildlife resources. Originally from Maine, Erica moved to Oregon in 2008 for a position with the Oregon Department of Fish & Wildlife, having worked in marine fisheries for various federal, state and private entities as an undergraduate. She holds a master’s in Fisheries and Wildlife Administration from Oregon State University and a B.A. in Human Ecology from the College of the Atlantic. Erica lives in Eastern Oregon with her husband.
