Shanina Hicks

Shanina joined the USRT team August of 2019 as the Youth and Family Programs Assistant Manager working to implement the USRT Climate Change curriculum to the communities of our four USRT tribes. Prior to coming on board, Shanina worked to cultivate food security through gardening practices within the community of Owyhee as an AmeriCorps VISTA worker with the Idaho Hunger Relief Taskforce in Boise ID. Shanina has interned with numerous programs under the Shoshone-Paiute tribes in various programs while working on her undergrad degree at Boise State University. Shanina has her undergraduate degree from B.S.U. in the Social Sciences with an emphasis in Sociology and is currently working on her Master’s in Public Administration from BSU. She is also a tribal member of the Shoshone-Paiute tribes and lives in Boise with her husband and three children.
